We know you want to work hard, but understand that getting to a clinic is not always convenient or even possible. We understand that insurance coverage is limited and sometimes you just need more PT. Kristin McNealus, DPT, MBA, ATP
This is my company, and I am the person you will contact. I am excited to help you find the services you want. I received my Masters in Physical Therapy from Boston University and went on to earn my Doctorate in Physical Therapy from MGH Institute of Health Professions. I received my MBA from Pepperdine University in 2016, and am a member of Beta Gamma Sigma.
I am the owner and founder of Every Body Fitness, an online exercise program for people with any physical limitation to get quality, adaptable workouts from home. My work experience includes being a staff physical therapist on inpatient rehabilitation and acute care for people with neurological diagnoses, as well as Director of a community adaptive gym for people with neurological injuries. I have my ATP certification, and perform frequent seating evaluations for people with various diagnoses.

I enjoy training for endurance sports, and have completed 3 marathons, and 25 triathlons, including the Ironman! I use my passion for exercise and knowledge of what the body is capable of performing when pushed to its limits, to empower each client to reach their own personal goals. I will motivate you to work as hard as you can, stay committed to your fitness goals and be the best you can be!
Jennifer Hseih, PT
I graduated from UC Riverside with a Bachelors Degree in Liberal Arts. I have always enjoyed sports and outdoor adventures, and decided to pursue a career in physical therapy to help others be more active. I love teaching people how to move in the most optimal way for their body!
I went to graduate school for my Masters in Physical Therapy at Western University of Health Sciences and have had opportunities to work in all settings since graduating over 18 years ago. While I enjoy providing physical therapy with patients during their hospital course, I have more fun helping people get back to the activities they enjoy doing in their environment.

When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, and doing things outdoors. I have two sons who keep me busy with all of their sports! You can find me cheering them on during their baseball and soccer games.
Craig Newsam, DPT
I received my entry-level Masters of Physical Therapy degree as well as my Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Southern California (Fight On!). I have extensive professional experience in clinical, research, educational, and commercial settings. Throughout my career, I have focused on the treatment of individuals with neurological dysfunction and disease.
My clinical philosophy for treating all patients focuses on the idea of improving strength in order to achieve your functional gains. As such, I ascribe to 2 guiding principles of exercise: doing something is better than doing nothing, and do what you love! I have been fortunate to have many unique professional opportunities beyond the traditional clinical environment. I have presented at professional conferences locally, nationally, and internationally and I have co-author more than 25 publications. I also traveled the US training physical therapists how to use robotic technology for rehabilitation purposes. I am an active member of the APTA and the CPTA working in the neurology and education sections
I love to teach so I am grateful that I am currently involved in teaching future physical therapists about patient-care for individuals with neurological dysfunction. When I am not working, I stay active by chasing after my children at their sporting activities, playing with my dog, and enjoying the beautiful beaches of Southern California.
Rene Alvarez, PT
I completed a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology and a Master’s degree in physical therapy here in Southern California. I have nearly 20 years of experience working in physical therapy with an emphasis on intense rehabilitation and helping people reach their potential after a neurological disorder or injury.
I specialize in working with clients who have experienced a stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, multiple sclerosis, Guillain-Barré Syndrome, and other neurological diagnosis. Having acquired an ATP certification, I have knowledge and experience in conducting wheelchair seating and positioning evaluations. My clinical expertise is in lower extremity bracing, movement disorder, gait dysfunction, motor recovery, functional recovery, home evaluations, and balance impairment. I have experience working with children, elderly adults, and with people who experience complications from diabetes. I will work hard and creatively alongside you to help you get back to what you love to do.
On my free time I love to be outdoors, travel, and be adventurous.
Betsaida Cruz-Coble, PT, DPT, NCS
Betsaida received her BA in Kinesiology from San Jose State University in 2002, Clinical Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Southern California in 2007, and became a Board Certified Specialist in Neurological Rehabilitation in 2014. She currently practices in the Outpatient Physical Therapy Clinic of the University of California, Irvine where she developed and directs the Neurologic Physical Therapy Rehabilitation and Parkinson’s Wellness Programs.
Betsaida has served as an expert panel speaker for the Parkinson’s Foundation, and is recognized as a Parkinson’s Foundation Physical Therapy Faculty Scholar. She has also served as an Associate Clinical Faculty Member of the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program at Mount Saint Mary’s University. She launched the “Ejercicio Para Parkinson” YouTube channel dedicated to providing quality education and exercise for Latinx people with Parkinson’s Disease. She served as the Founding President of the University of Southern California Division of Biokinesiology and Physical Therapy Latinx Alumni Association.
Lauren Peters, DPT
Lauren is originally from New York. After attending Quinnipiac University in Connecticut, and studying abroad in Ireland, she graduated with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
Lauren has vast experience and can work with clients who have neurological injuries such as brain injury and stroke.
She can also treat orthopedic and pelvic floor dysfunction, and can also provide cardiac physical therapy. Her pelvic floor training was provided by Herman and Wallace.
She is also a holistic wellness practitioner helping clients restore balance to the body and optimize function through functional medicine, nutrition and lifestyle changes.

Lauren’s interests outside of the clinical setting include hot yoga, CrossFit, pilates, sailing, skiing, paddle tennis, traveling, and enjoying time outdoors with family.
Athena Hanley, PT, DPT
I graduated with my B.S. in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology from UC Santa Cruz in 2005. While working in the field of clinical chemistry, I discovered my passion for rehabilitation and helping others to regain their independence and functional abilities as a Physical Therapy volunteer, seeing first-hand the impact that rehabilitation had on people’s lives
I graduated from University of Saint Augustine, San Marcos, in 2013 with highest honors for my Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree. My clinical background includes inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation, as well as home and community neurorehabilitation. I especially enjoy working with clients outside of the clinic to problem solve effective solutions in their real-world environment, enabling them to get back to activities they need to do, have to do, or want to do again. I specialize in balance training and rehabilitation for persons recovering from acquired and progressive neurological disorders such as Stroke, Traumatic Brain Injury, Multiple Sclerosis, Guillain-Barré Syndrome, Spinal Cord Injury, Encephalitis, and Parkinson’s Disease. When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, hiking, skiing, and aerial dance.
Justin Wyma PT, DPT, NCS
I completed my Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science from the University of Puget Sound in 2015. I spent several years as a physical therapy aide at an outpatient clinic before obtaining my Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Southern California in 2020. I obtained my Neurological Clinical Specialist certification in 2023 after working in an outpatient neurological setting for several years.
I have worked in many different settings, from inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation, to home
health, to long term/transitional facilities. I have significant experience working with Neurological diagnoses such as stroke, Parkinson’s Disease, brain injuries, balance deficits,
and multiple sclerosis to name a few.
On a personal level, I enjoy running marathons, eating the amazing food Los Angeles has to
offer, and spending time outdoors camping or hiking. You’ll often find me running the streets of Pasadena or traveling to the Eastern Sierras or national parks to enjoy all that nature has to
offer.
Madison Gerber, DPT
I completed a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science at Northern Arizona University and got my Doctorate in Physical Therapy at USC in 2021. After getting my DPT, I completed a residency in Neurologic Physical Therapy at Casa Colina, and will be taking my NCS exam in March 2023.
Currently, I have experience in both inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation settings, as well as transitional living. I specialize in working with brain injuries, stroke, spinal cord injury, and other neurologic disorders such as Parkinson's and Multiple Sclerosis. I am excited to expand my experience into the home health session!
Claire Smith, DPT, NCS
I graduated from the University of Southern California with my Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2005 and completed a residency in Neurologic Physical Therapy in 2006. I am a board certified Neurologic Clinical Specialist as well as a Certified Brain Injury Specialist. My clinical experience includes inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation settings as well as home and community-based therapy.
I specialize in working with people with neurologic diagnoses, including stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, and multiple sclerosis, along with those who are experiencing falls and balance problems.
I love working with people and helping each individual live life to the fullest. When I’m not working with clients, you can either find me teaching physical therapy students at a local university or spending time with my family. I especially enjoy traveling, skiing, and reading.
MaryAnne Marcos, PT
MaryAnne holds a Master's of Physical Therapy degree specializing in the fields of Sports Medicine and Pediatrics helping athletes, injured veterans, and families that have children with special needs, as well as other practitioners to enhance the reach and productivity of their practices.
She also holds a clinical hypnotherapy certification, is a Master of NLP, and holds over 30 designations with the American Red Cross.
Alyx Abel, DPT, NCS
Alyx is a Board Certified Clinical Specialist in Neurologic Physical Therapy who is passionate about working with people with all neurologic conditions. She has a special interest in helping those with Parkinson’s disease and vestibular/dizziness issues.

Alyx grew up in Salem, OR, completed her undergraduate BS in Exercise Science at University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, WA, and graduated with her Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree from Azusa Pacific University in 2013. Alyx always knew she wanted to work with people with PD and other neurologic conditions. She dedicated the first year of her career to working in an acute care hospital. After that she completed a year-long Residency in Neurologic Physical Therapy at Precision Rehabilitation. Alyx then worked at MemorialCare Long Beach in the Outpatient Neuro Clinic for 6 years. During that time she continued her education by taking many classes pertaining to movement disorders and vestibular disorders.
Alyx is certified in PWR! Moves, LSVT BIG and she is a Parkinson’s Foundation Faculty Scholar. Alyx is also adjunct faculty in the DPT program at Mount Saint Mary’s University and helps to teach the neurologic rehab curriculum, including the Parkinson’s disease and Parkinson’s Plus syndrome content.
​Alyx married her high school sweetheart and she is mom to two pionus parrots and a playful pup named Fry. In her free time Alyx enjoys kayaking, stand up paddle boarding, Pilates, weight lifting, camping, traveling, wine tasting, and making home made pasta. She is trying to learn some basic gardening skills and is also in the process of completing her Pilates instructor certification.
